How to Download GST Registration Certificate

What do you understand by GST registration status?

When the GST registration application has been submitted successfully, it gets a status, which confirms the validation and verification by the tax authorities. The GST registration status is not issued until the verification process of the application is pending.

What is the GST registration process?

Step One: Visit the GST portal and click on the option for services. Click on the option of ‘New Registration’ from the ‘Registration’ tab.

Step Two: Enter the required details from the drop-down menus in the respective sections. You shall receive an OTP on the registered mobile number and email ID. Verify using the respective OTPs.

Step Three: You shall receive a 15 digits Temporary Reference Number (TRN) after verification. It is recommended to note down the TRN number. The details on part B can be updated within the next 15 days.

Step Four: Go back to the option of new registration and enter the TRN number to proceed. You shall again receive OTPs on the email ID and phone number. Enter the OTPs for verification and proceed to the next step.

Step Five: The GST registration status for the application is visible in a draft format when you click on the edit option.

How to download a GST registration certificate?

Step One: Login to the GST portal, click on the option of services

Step Two: Click on the ‘user service’ option. There you will get the option of ‘view/download certificate’

What are the required GST registration documents?

The documents that are required for the GST registration are as follows:

Sole proprietorship and individuals

● PAN card of the applicant
● Aadhaar card of the applicant
● Passport size photograph of the applicant
● Proof of address of the applicant
● Bank account details of the applicant/business.

Partnership and LLPs

● Partnership Deed
● PAN cards of the partners
● Photographs of the partners involved
● Aadhaar card of the authorized signatory
● Appointment proof of signatory
● Proof of LLP registration
● Bank details of the business
● Address proof of the registered office

Is there any GST registration limitation?

The GST Council has doubled the GST exemption limit for Goods and Services Tax (GST) to INR 400,000. Previously it was Rs 200,000. Also, in the northeastern states, the exemption limit has been raised from the previous 10 rupees to 20 lakhs.
