What are the required documents for the private limited company registration process in India?
The documents should be uploaded for the private limited company registration process in India in PDF format:
A. The necessary documents which are to be submitted if the company’s directors or shareholders are Indian:
1. PAN
2. Govt ID proof – Voters’ ID or passport or driver’s license
3. Bank statement
4. Utility bills either mobile or gas or electricity
5. Passport size photograph
6. Specimen signature – Director’s signature on a blank document
B. The necessary documents which are to be submitted if the company’s directors or shareholders are Non-Resident Indians:
1. Passport
2. ID proofs like Voter ID/passport or driver’s license
3. Latest bank statement
4. Latest utility bills like telephone, mobile or electricity
5. Passport size photograph
6. Specimen signature (blank document with the signature only for directors)
C. The necessary documents regarding the office are as follows:
1. Latest electricity bill or water bill
2. Notarized rental agreement drafted in English
3. Receipt of the latest rent paid
4. In case of owned property – Sale deed or property deed
5. No Objection Certificate from the property owner if it is a rented property
What is the private limited company registration process?
Step One: Obtaining Director Identification Number (DIN) & Digital Signature
The proposed directors of the company should obtain Director Identification Number (DIN). It is necessary to obtain Digital Signature for one of the Directors of the Company at least.
After obtaining DIN, the incorporation of private limited company procedure starts.
Step Two: Secure the name of the company
The promoters of the company should propose more than one name and each name should be reflecting the service or products the company is offering. There are certain terms and conditions to comply with for the name:
● It should not be identical to any other registered company or trademark.
● The name should not be any abusive or immoral word,
● The name should be followed by the suffix “Private LimitedThe revision of the name usually takes 3-5 days to get approved and on being approved, the registration procedure starts.
Step Three: Acquire Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)
The Information Technology Act, of 2000 uses digital signatures on the documents submitted in electronic form to ensure the security and authenticity of the documents filed electronically.
Step Four: Create an account on the MCA portal- New user registration at mca.gov.in
Step Five: Incorporate or Apply for the company to be registered
